- I'm in zone 5 for gardening. This means that I have about 120 days of freeze-free gardening. Early spring to late fall. Gardening is my favorite past time. I have a small area for gardening so it can sometimes be a challenge. Some years I use containers as well as the (7) raised beds we built.

Isn't it just wonderful when Spring comes at last! Great to see that you are planting!
Oh yes, it is good to be out planting again. It was a very long and cold winter. We get away with far better weather most years.

Hello Claire! Oh I know the winter has been long. I'm almost not able to believe it is spring. We still have some very cold nights.

Great to hear from you! Thanks for sending the link. It was a good article. I have known that more people are growing their own food for quite a while now. Many of our seed companies were not able to supply all their customers with their entire orders. A friend of mine didn't get her onions shipped until mid-May.
I'll be saving as much of my own seed as possible this year.
Enjoy your nice weather while you can. We are back to 45 degree F night time temps. Up and down, up and down. What a crazy year it's been so far.
