I didn't realize that I hadn't posted on this site about my greehouse disaster. Everything in there died. I just don't keep up with the weather reports like I should and I didn't get them in the house when we had below zero weather last week. The greenhouse is attached to the house and a very well insulated door allows entry from the basement. I have a desk in the basement that I could have set everything on. I'm still not available like I need to be for a homestead or smallholding. Either that or some help might be nice!!!!!
Our weather has been exceptionally cold this year. Maybe I need to get the farmer's almanac. I haven't given up on the garlic because the cloves were burried in those fairly deep cells. I lost the spinach, swiss chard and kale. I'm replanting this weekend and the plastic will go up on the hoop house frame.

Sorry to hear about your freeze disaster. It is heartbreaking to lose little plants that you have carefully nurtured. Still, plenty of time to plant new seeds, I find that they eventually catch up with each other anyway!
Thanks Matron. It was disappointing but I feel the way you do about it.
I've actually had tomatoes sown in the garden catch up with plants sown early under lights
